24 Season 7 Premiere

I apologize for waiting three whole days after the 4 hours of season premiere have aired to write this. For that very fact I’m going to make this write-up about it short.

In comparison to past season premieres of 24 I just wasn’t that impressed with this years. Where was the nuclear explosion? Where was the airport takeover? There just weren’t as many exciting moments in this block of a premiere as there has been in past years. I kept expecting something big to happen. In past years of 24 they would have made the planes hit each other to have that season premiere shock. The most exciting moment of the whole premiere is during Jack and Tony’s escape from the FBI when Jack drives the car through the parking garage wall to the ground outside.
The show wasn’t bad; it just wasn’t as exciting as it has been. Maybe 24 is saving its bigger moments for later in the season, at least we can hope.

OK, so a while ago I said something about how this blog was going to have to do with every form of media other than music. Starting right now that is no longer true. From now on this blog will only be for matters of television and the internet. Mostly television commercials, but sometimes I might get to writing about a show. Internet only shows and funny Youtube clips and things of that nature are also fair game. I'm also looking into bringing a friend on as a writer to make sure posts are a little more frequent this time. Look to hear from him within the next week or so.

Wow, what happened to July? Yeah, sorry about that.

I went to play football (soccer if you want to be an ass)today and one of my friends just bought new golf clubs and was testing them out. That got me wondering if it's harder to master football or golf. I thought of these two videos as good comparisons of two people who are the best at each sport showing off.

Somehow I think I can see myself replicating the Tiger Woods video sooner than the Ronaldinho video. What do you think?

This show ultimately fell flat for me. It wasn't one half hour episode as I expected, but the half hour was split into two episodes. A lot of the jokes were lame. I expected them to be way better seeing as how it's so easy to make fun of George Bush. The only joke that was really funny was when Barbara Bush says "Be nice to your brother, you might need him to help you rig an election someday". There were a couple of visually amusing things such as the oil rig and missile behind the white house and how Dick Cheney would just rip the heads off of live animals and suck their blood out.
The sexual humor was AWFUL. Did they really need to make Barbara Bush have sex with a little Dick(ed) Cheney? It was just disturbing and painful to watch.
There's probably better things to watch at 10:30 on a Wednesday night. Or hey, you could always read.

The Hitmen of Tomorrow

I saw a commercial for the newest Nerf guns sometime today while I had the t.v. on, i forget what channel it was on, but that doesn't matter. I think the people that are designing the Nerf guns now must have used to design weapons for the military and quit because there was too much 'blood on their hands' because they are FUCKING CRAZY. There were three guns showcased in the commercial and i don't remember the first one that well right now, but the second gun had a laser sight on it. Why does an 8 year old kid need a laser sight on their toy gun that shoots foam cylinders that have suction cups attached to the ends? Isn't that a bit excessive? The third gun is a SNIPER RIFLE. Yeah that's right a sniper rifle for kids. That's not all thats crazy about this gun, it detaches into two guns which is very children's toy style, but it has a clips to reload and a detachable scope. In other words it a fully collapse able sniper rifle for your young son to practice his assassination skills with on his friends. Priceless.
